Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)
The EPA defines Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) as a  situation where building occupants experience acute health and comfort effects that appear to be linked to time spent in a building, but no specific illness or cause can be identified.  The complaints may be localized in a particular room  or zone, or may be widespread throughout the building.

Also, having a properly trained office  cleaning staff that understands all surfaces that can be wet-wiped and left to dry on their own should be.  This allows the disinfectant that was applied to dwell on the surface long enough to kill the germs or bacteria that may be present.  Drying immediately after cleaning will only remove the disinfectant and not allow it to do it work.

Cross contamination is another outlet for these viruses to spread throughout your facility.  With the use of color coded microfiber cleaning wipes, your professional office cleaning staff can control the areas that get cleaned with the same color cleaning cloth.  Often the colored cloths are also paired with the same colored pail and proper cleaning solution to re-dip into solution.  For example, the red bucket containing the proper restroom cleaner / disinfectant would only have the red colored microfiber cloths used to clean the restrooms.  The blue colored bucket with solution and blue cloths would only be used for all point of contact surfaces and tables.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a janitorial services provider.  Costs many times being the number one contributing factor.  Along with, do they have good references and sometimes just a gut feeling.  Also finding out if your current commercial cleaning service has implemented education and proper training to their employees can give you piece of mind that you have taken the additional steps to insure that the health, safety and overall morale of the occupants in your facility remain and stay high.
