Microfiber cloth for Janitorial Cleaning

Microfiber cloth has been shown to save businesses money on their janitorial services because 99% of the cleaning can be done with just the cloth and some water – there’s no need for special chemicals or cleaning solutions. That means companies won’t be able to charge you an arm and a leg for all kinds of cleaning products!

At Eagle’s New Jersey janitorial service, we use microfiber cloths in all of our commercial cleaning, and it allows us to stick to only the bare minimum in cleaning chemicals – a cost savings that is passed on to you.

microfiber clothHow Does Microfiber Cloth Work in Commercial Cleaning?
New Jersey cleaning companies that use microfiber products will be the first to tell you that it really does seem like magic. Made of synthetic fibers, microfiber cloth is amazingly durable, soft, absorbent, electrodynamic, and water repellant. They also have incredible wicking abilities (e.g. they repel moisture), which is why so many athletic clothing today contains microfibers.

When cleaning companies use ordinary sponges and cotton cloths, all they do is push dirt particles around and leave a wet trail behind. This is because of their rounded threads.

Microfibers, in contrast, use internal loops to help them trap oil and dirt inside the actual cloth. That means your janitorial service won’t just be moving germs and dirt from place to place, but getting rid of them for good. Even better, these kinds of cloths won’t tear or stretch like traditional materials, and they’re easy to wash and reuse hundreds of times.

How Does Eagle New Jersey Janitorial Service Use Microfiber Products?

There are a number of ways that we employ microfiber products in our cleaning services for businesses, and we’re always happy to work out a customized commercial cleaning plan for you.
Here are just a few examples of how microfibers help us do the best job possible for our customers.
  • Save money on chemical cleaning products
  • Dusters that won’t leave behind dirt
  • Mops that can hold six to seven times their weight
  • Improved ability to pick up dirt, grime, and germs
  • Cleaning that can be done in any regular washing machine
Call Eagle New Jersey commercial cleaning today and experience the difference with our microfiber cloths.

New Jersey Cleaning Company

Finding a good New Jersey commercial cleaning company for your office is getting harder and harder.

With many of the better NJ cleaning professionals turning towards private clients - or getting out of the business altogether - newer hires are not always likely to be the “best and brightest”. There’s also a tendency for fly-by-night companies to sprout as start-up costs for cleaning businesses remain relatively low. These smaller commercial cleaning companies may promise the moon, but they rarely come through.

So what are some of the ways to ensure the NJ cleaning company you hire will provide excellent service?

Take Your Time

Firstly, do not hire the cheapest bidder out there! Cheap bids often reflect a New Jersey cleaning company that will send in subpar (possibly illegal) workers who aren’t being paid very well and lack enthusiasm.

There’s also the possibility that the manager has, purposefully or otherwise, underestimated the man-hours necessary to clean your facility. Bargain barrel rates such as these are often “revised upwards” as the relationship continues. If you refuse to pay more, the cleaning company will simply instruct its employees to do less, leaving you feeling a victim of the old “bait and switch” and your facility languishing in untidy conditions.

A cleaning company that comes in at a fair bid is more likely to:

1.    Be established
2.    Be professional
3.    Have long-standing relationships with their well-treated employee

All of which will benefit your business in the long run.

Ask Around

If you have friends or professional contacts that use a commercial cleaning service at their New Jersey business, ask them about their experiences. Trusted word-of-mouth will always trump a company’s slick webpage or the star-ratings found at places like Yelp, which can easily be skewed by biased or dishonest opinions and posts.

Make a Call

Once you have a few New Jersey cleaning services in mind, call around and schedule an appointment to meet with their representatives. Make sure you mention a ballpark amount you’re willing to spend. If what you have in your budget is too little (or if your facility is too big) they can politely decline, saving everybody time.

Once the rep is out at your facility, you can discuss actual rates. Too low and you run the risk of slipshod work. Too high and you’re simply overpaying. You’ll also be able to ask questions regarding scheduling, hours of cleaning time, cancellation policies, etc.

Open the Book

Make sure the New Jersey cleaning service you use allows for open book pricing. What does each task involve time-wise? How much will it cost? When you and the cleaning company representative can sit down together and determine, task-by-task, how much you’ll be expected to pay, you can then make an accurate comparison when negotiating with other cleaning companies.

An honest, experienced janitorial service will be happy to do this with you.

Check Insurance

Finally, if you’re not sure about who you’re dealing with, you can rest easier by finding a New Jersey cleaning company that is bonded and insured.  This protects you from liability and also means that you’re dealing with a professional organization.

Office Cleaning Service - go Green

Do you know what kind of products your commercial cleaning company uses on your office? Or do you take the approach that as long as your workspace gets clean, it doesn’t really matter how it happens?

Well, if you haven’t thought about the impact that harsh cleaning products can have on the work environment and employee health, it may be time to reconsider. Here are 4 good reasons why you should hire a janitorial company that understands green cleaning when it comes to Office Cleaning Services.

1.    Avoid releasing harsh toxins into the environment. Many conventional cleaning products do a great job of making your office space look clean… but they also release harsh toxins into the air and waterways, which can have a seriously negative impact on the environment. Ammonia, which is found in many cleaning products used for sanitizing, can cause vegetation to grow too densely around waterways, clogging streams and crowding out other plants and animals, when it gets rinsed down drains or flushed down toilets

2.    Improve the air quality in your office. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like ammonia evaporate into the air when many conventional cleaning products are used—and can sometimes evaporate even if cleaning products are just being stored in your office! These compounds can irritate employees’ eyes, nose, and throat, cause headaches and nausea, damage the kidneys, liver, and central nervous system, and in some cases even cause cancer. Don’t risk keeping your employees in an environment that’s uncomfortable or even hazardous to their health; switch to green cleaning.

3.    Reduce asthma triggers. If you have employees with asthma or other respiratory problems, it’s especially important to keep the quality of air high in your office. If the office isn’t kept clean enough, dust or mold can become an asthma trigger, but if the office is cleaned with conventional cleaning products, they can reduce the air quality and trigger asthma as well. Some cleaning products even stir up dirt, making things even worse! The best solution is to use green cleaning products so that employees with asthma, allergies, or other respiratory problems won’t be forced to take time away from work.

4.    Improve employee productivity. One thing you may not have considered about green cleaning is that it can actually make your employees more productive! How? Studies have shown that better air quality as a result of green cleaning services can improve the performance of tasks like typing and solving math problems by between 4 and 16%. Many employees also report feeling like they have more energy after their office has switched to using green cleaning products. And everyone knows that a happy, energetic employee is the type of employee who will deliver the best results at work.

Go Green with Eagle

If you manage an office in New Jersey and are unhappy with your current cleaning services or products, contact Eagle Building Maintenance and Janitorial and ask about our green cleaning services.
We use many green cleaning products for all our clients, but when you ask for green cleaning, we make sure that we don’t use any products, equipment, or procedures that could negatively impact the environment or your employees. We only use products that have been certified green by the Environmental Protection Agency, so you can rest easy knowing that your office is going green.

Office Cleaning and year end Budgets

Many times when it comes to balancing the budget of a facility, or management looking to reduce overall costs, professional office cleaning services is often one of the items at the top of the list to be reviewed.

Having a commercial cleaning service provider that knows and understands how to workload a building, implements team cleaning strategies within their workforce and uses the proper cleaning agents and equipment can help to reduce the time spent cleaning your facility.  Which in return, equates to increased efficiency and quality, and lower overall cost to the customer.

Office Cleaning and Proper Building Work Load Planning

Work loading a building correctly is one of the most critical steps in assuring the building gets cleaned, maintains a high level of cleanliness consistently and most importantly, accurately allots the correct amount of time needed to effectively clean the building and the tasks involved.  Many times cleaning companies just "wing it" when it comes to figuring out the correct time needed to clean a facility.  This is often where janitorial service companies get themselves into trouble right from the start.  Incorrect work loading can lead to underestimating the time needed to effectively clean the building; therefore leaving the customer with their facility under cleaned because the janitorial service provider is trying to squeeze out as much profit as they can by reducing the labor hours that are actually needed to effectively clean.  Also, incorrectly work loading a facility could lead to allocating too much time to clean and then the customer ultimately ends up overpaying for the services being rendered.  The time taken by the cleaning contractor up front to accurately measure and input information about your building into a software system designed for work loading in the cleaning industry, is the most accurate way to get the proper times needed to complete the tasks to effectively and efficiently clean your facility.

Another way to know if you are receiving the most efficient and cost effective cleaning is whether or not your current cleaning company is using the "Team Cleaning Strategy". For example:  Traditional methods would have a 8-story building with a janitor on each floor completing every task.  This means 8 people, 8 trash containers, 8 vacuums etc... I think you get the picture.  Team cleaning in the same building you would only have 6 cleaning technicians.  One pair being the light duty techs and vacuum techs assigned to floors 1-4, with another pair assigned to floors 4-8.  Then a bathroom cleaning tech and the utility tech working throughout the whole building.  Outcome??? Greater efficiency in cleaning with more consistent service results with only 6 techs, two vacuums, two trash containers, one bathroom cart and one mopping system.  Also, the customer receives a proposal that has been properly work loaded with 6 cleaning techs instead of 8.  End result being, more than likely YOUR monthly cost be lower!!

Cleaning agents and  equipment also have their role in helping the bottom line of the customer.  Using the proper cleaning agents on surfaces will help to efficiently clean and maintain your facility.  Improper use of cleaning agents can lead to damaging surfaces, etching and faster wearing out of floor finishes, which can result in more frequent floor refinishing which is not cheap.  Backpack vacuums have been proven to reduce vacuuming times up to 70% from standard upright vacuums.

When budgeting cleaning for your facility, whether it's a new building or you are budgeting for the upcoming year, it is important to know and understand just how your current cleaning service work loaded your building, what processes they have in place and do they use the "Team Cleaning Method" and do they use proper cleaning agents and equipment.  Knowing these three key items could inform you of whether or not you are really getting the most efficient cleaning at the best price!

New Jersey Janitorial Services

Your New Jersey janitorial service just isn’t doing it for you anymore. They were once prompt and attentive. They cleaned well and responded to your every request. Your cleaning service, at one time, aimed to please, and your office looked ship shape.

Nowadays, their work is substandard. Your calls are not being returned. Your complaints go unheeded. Certain rooms aren’t being vacuumed anymore, the wastebaskets remain full, and let’s not even talk about what’s going on in the bathrooms.

Let’s face it: Your NJ cleaning company just doesn’t seem to care anymore.

Yes, you’re a busy person and you’ve put a janitorial service change on the back burner. You really do have a lot of choices out there, however, and there are plenty of reasons to find a new company that will give your office the attention it deserves.

New janitorial services pop up like weeds. There’s very little regulation of the industry and start up costs are modest. As a result, many new NJ cleaning companies cut corners and hire unskilled, sometimes even undocumented, workers. This way, the wage they pay is low and their payroll taxes low or entirely nonexistent. As a result, the client suffers, not only due to shoddy cleansmanship but high employee turnover - leading to more substandard service - as well.

Small cleaning companies often use untrained (and unhappy) employees. Many smaller companies have neither the time nor resources to properly train their new employees. You might not think it, but there’s a lot that goes into commercial office cleaning: things a professional will know and a rookie will not. When employees are well trained they feel more confident in their abilities, leading to a higher degree of professionalism, a greater sense of pride in their work and, as a result, a better job done. The lack of expertise on the part of an untrained, unskilled janitor may leave your NJ office in a dirty, messy or even unhygienic condition.

Many cleaning companies have poor communication systems. You’ve complained about less-than-stellar performance, you’ve gotten a well-meaning response from a company representative, indicating that things will be taken care of – but the job never seems to get done. In the modern age, there’s no excuse for this issue. Technology makes it easier than ever for you to stay connected to your cleaning company, and for them to respond promptly to your needs.

How and why would you remain with a NJ commercial cleaning company that’s not doing what it’s paid to do?

Finding a new cleaning service is certainly worth the time and effort. You want to find a professional cleaning service companies that not only trains but treats their employees well, leading to better results all around. Be sure to look for a company that has received a CIMS certification from ISSA, which oversees the building services industry. That means the organization has passed rigorous tests and will almost always provide better service than the fly-by-nighters.

Office Cleaning Service

Lots of businesses in New Jersey use an office cleaning service, but far too many don’t use a good one, and that’s unfortunate. Why? Because research has shown that a clean and healthy work environment can actually add to your bottom line by improving productivity and profitability.

Is your janitorial service in NJ doing this for your business? Find out by asking yourself a few simple questions:

Do customers hesitate to give referrals to your business – even after receiving excellent service? One of the best ways to get new customers is word-of-mouth. But no matter how good you are at your job, if you work out of an office that’s dirty or disheveled, people are likely to hesitate before suggesting that their friends and colleagues come to you.

Are your employees clean and organized? Studies have shown that when employees work in an office that’s clean and organized, they tend to keep their personal areas neat as well, and this raises their overall productivity.

How’s your employee turnover rate? Having to replace employees is something that every business experiences, but researchers have found that people are more likely to stick with a job if the workplace itself is clean and well-maintained. Keeping more employees for longer can be a vital part of improving your bottom line because it’s incredibly expensive to go through the hiring and training process.

Are customers frequently walking out after a cursory look around? It’s not an uncommon sight in many businesses for people to browse and then move on without making a purchase, but if you notice that this is happening all the time, you need to figure out why. One reason may be that your place of business looks messy or dirty.

Do your workers consistently use up all of their sick days? Want to talk about a productivity killer? Sick employees hurt your company by taking money without providing you with anything in return. If you’re using New Jersey cleaners who are doing a subpar job, it’s very likely that there are lots of germs floating around just waiting to attach themselves to people. This can become especially problematic in times when certain kinds of bacteria and viruses thrive, because having multiple people unable to work at once will seriously hurt your business.

So do the cleaning and janitorial services you use in NJ help your bottom line? They should. And if they don’t, it might be time to think about switching to a company with a track record of success.

Office Cleaning at EagleJanitorial

DOOR KNOBS.  TELEPHONES. LIGHT SWITCHES.  These are just a few of the point of contact (POC) surfaces to mention that carry all the germs and bacteria that come with the cold and flu season this time of year.

Having a well trained, professional office cleaning staff on hand that understands the proper cleaning techniques, uses the latest in cleaning technology and cleans with proper cleaning solutions for the right application could be the difference between a clean, healthy indoor environment or your facility suffering from sick building syndrome (SBS).

Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)
The EPA defines Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) as a  situation where building occupants experience acute health and comfort effects that appear to be linked to time spent in a building, but no specific illness or cause can be identified.  The complaints may be localized in a particular room  or zone, or may be widespread throughout the building.

Although there a several contributing factors to Sick Building Syndrome, Radon and Asbestos, Chemical contaminants from outdoor sources (i.e.  plumbing exhausts, poorly located intake vents), and poor ventilation rates, the lack of education and training from your janitorial services provider could have a significant impact on your facility during the cold and flu season.

A fine balance of using the proper cleaning solutions for the right application is critical.  As all point of contact surfaces should be heavily addressed with a disinfectant that kills multiple strands of spores and viruses during the cold and flu season, overuse could result in an increase of volatile organic compounds (VOC's) and have an adverse effect on the facilities indoor air quality (IAQ).  Anytime a cleaning solution that is safer for the environment can be used, should be considered.

Also, having a properly trained office  cleaning staff that understands all surfaces that can be wet-wiped and left to dry on their own should be.  This allows the disinfectant that was applied to dwell on the surface long enough to kill the germs or bacteria that may be present.  Drying immediately after cleaning will only remove the disinfectant and not allow it to do it work.

Cross contamination is another outlet for these viruses to spread throughout your facility.  With the use of color coded microfiber cleaning wipes, your professional office cleaning staff can control the areas that get cleaned with the same color cleaning cloth.  Often the colored cloths are also paired with the same colored pail and proper cleaning solution to re-dip into solution.  For example, the red bucket containing the proper restroom cleaner / disinfectant would only have the red colored microfiber cloths used to clean the restrooms.  The blue colored bucket with solution and blue cloths would only be used for all point of contact surfaces and tables.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a janitorial services provider.  Costs many times being the number one contributing factor.  Along with, do they have good references and sometimes just a gut feeling.  Also finding out if your current commercial cleaning service has implemented education and proper training to their employees can give you piece of mind that you have taken the additional steps to insure that the health, safety and overall morale of the occupants in your facility remain and stay high.

Janitorial Services

As that time of year approaches, when holiday parties and events become more abundant than the rest of the year, so does the foot traffic and usage of a lot of facilities.  Thus, creating more garbage, soil and use of the restrooms.  It is important that the client and janitorial services provider have an open line of communication and take a pro-active stance in creating a detailed office cleaning schedule to insure consistent results and keep your facility looking clean even during these several weeks of increased usage.

Flexible hours by your janitorial services provider can be a big benefit in helping to maintain a clean and healthy space.  For instance, If you are having a holiday event after working hours and it ends at 8pm and your cleaning service typically cleans from 5:30 - 8, a janitorial services provider that has flexible hours would be able to begin cleaning after the event.  If needed, they also have the ability to increase their staff in order to break down the extra tables, chairs etc...

Day porter services are another way to keep your facility maintained during these events.  As most of these holiday events seem to take place during the working hours, having someone on hand to insure that your facility is well maintained can help not only to keep your facility clean and maintained, but also help to alleviate the burden of leaving all the extra work for the nighttime cleaning crew.  The trash created by these events can  be monitored and removed when needed. Monitoring and cleaning of the restrooms along with the re-stocking of the towel, soap dispensers etc...Also, helping to clear tables, set up or breakdown items and clean up any spills can be a big benefit of having a day porter handy.

After all is said and done, many corporate office holiday schedules give their employees an extended break to enjoy these times with their families and friends.  This is the one of the most opportune times of the year for your janitorial services provider to perform deep extensive office cleaning.

As excessive food and beverages are usually a staple and a highlight at holiday events, without fail does some of it end up ground in or spilled on the carpeting.  Carpet cleaning can be performed during this down time.  Also grout cleaning, high dusting, window cleaning, light bulb replacement and hard surface floor care maintenance can be performed during the day while your facility is closed for the holidays.

Having a janitorial services provider that you can communicate easily with, has flexible hours and offers an array of office cleaning services can prove not only to help eliminate some of the stress that comes with this fast paced time of year, but also keep a consistently well maintained, healthy and clean environment day to day, year after year.

Medical office Cleaning

If you run a medical facility in or around the New Jersey area, you know that one of the most important parts of your job is to make sure that it stays clean. After all, if patients walk into a hospital or doctor’s office that appears messy or dirty, they’re very likely to be turned off and worry about the level of care they’re going to receive. Many won’t come back, and some may not even stay for that initial visit. They have a reason to be worried, too, because research has shown that less-then-cleanly conditions further the spread of disease – not something you want in a place where people are coming to get well.

sanitizing a medical officeThis is absolutely vital to remember when looking at bids from local cleaning companies, because it can be tempting to skip straight to the bottom line and simply go with the cheapest janitorial service to save money. While the cost of the service should obviously be a big part of your decision, there are other factors that you need to consider when comparing bids from medical cleaners.

Do they use EPA-approved cleaning products? Along with potentially causing environmental issues, some chemical cleaners can exacerbate allergies and even make certain people sicker, which is obviously the last thing a medical facility wants. At Eagle, we always use spore-killing disinfectants that have met with approval from the EPA so that you can be sure the only impact on your patients will be a positive one.

Are they experienced? It’s not hard to start a cleaning company, and there are lots of fly-by-night operations in New Jersey. Companies like this might be fine for a simple job every now and then, but cleaning a medical facility is a job that demands extensive training and experience. Eagle has not only been working as a regional cleaner for more than 15 years, a big part of our business comes from hospitals, doctors’ offices, and other medical buildings.

Do they know proper infection-control strategies? A big part of the reason you want a janitorial service with medical cleaning experience is because there are specific and extensive requirements. Medical cleaners need to know how to account for things like dwell time and follow all applicable regulations and protocols. Everyone at Eagle is trained for exactly this purpose.

Are they compliant? To keep your patients and staff members as safe as possible and protect your facility from legal action, you want to make sure that the cleaning company you hire is compliant with all applicable laws. At Eagle, we not only make sure that we stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal, regulations, but also keep up with safety compliance training for HIPPA, OSHA, and blood-borne pathogens.

Beyond this, you want to make sure that any cleaning service you choose presents a janitorial plan to you that is comprehensive, flexible, and designed to meet your specific needs. Only once you’ve compared all of these things and weeded out the companies that don’t make the cut is it time to look at cost.

Building Cleaning Daytime

After being in janitorial services industry for over 15 years, we are starting to see a shift in the hours in which facility managers are requesting to have their buildings maintained.  As most of us are these days, also are the facility managers and other decision makers to adhere to extremely tight budget constraints.

The number one reason that facility managers are making the transition from night time cleaning to day time cleaning is to save costs on the energy alone that it takes to keep the facility operating during the night hours so that the commercial cleaning company is able to do their job effectively.   Studies have shown that facilities that have made the transition to day time cleaning have been able to see a savings of up to 8% in their energy usage.

An increased morale by the employees and building occupants of the facility is also another benefit that is being noticed by this transition.  Employees that see cleaning of their facility taking place in front of them, tend to have a better feeling about the workplace they are working in.  Studies have shown that employees with a higher morale in the workplace can lead to higher productivity levels.  There is also a relationship that builds between the cleaning crews and the employees which can lead to a better communication and overall higher customer satisfaction.  If a specific issue arises, instead of the customer having to call the commercial cleaning companies main office to alert, or leave a note for the night time crew, they can have the issue addressed right away.

Customers who are visiting the facility also have a better feeling and a higher appreciation of the place they are in when seeing cleaning taking place.  This ultimately leads to the customer more likely to return to your facility and an increase in revenue.

With the new technology that has come about in the janitorial service industry, it has allowed cleaning crews to work more quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and restricted access in daytime scenarios.  With areas that are just not able to be closed off for any period of time, cleaning crews can wait until the end of business day to address these areas.  For example, if your main lobby or any other high traffic area cannot be vacuumed or mopped during business hours, then the cleaning crew would address these areas just prior to closing.

At the end of business day, facility managers can go home with piece of mind knowing that they are doing their due diligence in meeting budget constraints, their building is clean and ready to go when they return tomorrow.  And there is no worrying if the night time cleaning crew is going to show up, miss an entire area, not secure the building properly when entering or leaving, or not read the note for the specific issue that you requested be taken care of.

Janitorial Cleaning Company: Hiring Matters

If you’ve ever been involved in the hiring process at your business, school, or medical facility, you already know how important it is to find the right people for the job. You take the time to review applications, interview qualified candidates, and discuss with the hiring committee before making a final decision because you want to make sure you find someone who will make a positive impact.

You want to make sure you’re working with the best colleagues, and you should feel the same about your office’s cleaning staff. You’re probably not going to be directly involved in the hiring decisions that your cleaning company makes, but you should be sure that your cleaning company truly cares about their hiring process and their employees. Here’s why.

You want to ensure there’s good communication on all levels. Some large cleaning businesses will end up using contractors rather than full-time employees, which means that you won’t always know who is cleaning your office, and special cleaning requirements may not be successfully passed from management to contractors. When your cleaning company hires full-time employees, there’s greater communication and consistency—which means that you’ll have your office cleaned just the way you want.

You need your cleaning company to fully insure employees. Again, if your cleaning company is just bringing in contractors, those contractors may not have workman’s compensation insurance. That means that your company is at risk for a lawsuit if a cleaning contractor is injured, which certainly isn’t a problem you want to have on your hands.

You need a cleaning company you can trust. When your cleaning company looks at job candidates, they should be doing background checks to make sure their potential employees don’t have a problematic criminal record. If a company fails to perform a background check and hires someone who has, say, multiple theft convictions on their record, they could be compromising the safety and security of your company.

You need your cleaning company to fully train their employees. You should pay attention to the care that your cleaning company puts into their hiring process because this typically reflects the care they dedicate to their employees once they’re hired. They should be hiring the types of employees who are able to learn quickly, and the cleaning company should provide all the training their employees need in order to best serve your facility.

Eagle BMJ is a New Jersey cleaning company that truly cares about hiring the best possible janitorial staff. We provide our crew members with extensive training to ensure the safety and hygiene of your facility, staff, and clients. Commercial Cleaning NJ

If you’re in charge of managing a large building, the idea of cleaning the whole place might send you running down the lengthy hallways towards the exit. Maintaining the cleanliness of a large facility certainly isn’t an easy endeavor; it requires a lot of attention and manpower to make sure that every single floor, window, and feature is kept looking good.

That’s why it’s important to hire the right janitorial service—you want to find a New Jersey cleaning company that has plenty of experience working with large facilities and well-trained employees to do a thorough cleaning job. Here are a few specific things you should look for when choosing a janitorial service in NJ.

A Capable NJ Commercial Cleaning Staff

As mentioned above, having well-trained NJ commercial cleaners is essential to making sure your spacious building is kept clean. At Eagle Building Maintenance and Janitorial Cleaning, we have a large staff of fully bonded, insured, and well-trained employees available to clean your office at any time of the day (or night). More on that in a second.

Flexibility from Your Cleaning Services

If you’re running a large building, there may be certain areas that you want to have cleaned during business hours and other high-traffic areas that you don’t want cleaned until the office has cleared out. Or maybe the whole building needs to be cleaned before work starts in the morning.

Every large facility is different in their exact needs, and Eagle’s commercial cleaning services recognize that. Our NJ commercial cleaning services are available 24 hours a day, so you can tailor your cleaning schedule to your building.

Reasonable Pricing from Your Commercial Cleaners

This one should be pretty obvious—you want to get the most for your money with your NJ cleaning company. This is where flexibility comes into play again. Before you hire a New Jersey cleaning company, schedule a consultation with Eagle BMJ. One of our owners will personally meet with you to discuss your building needs and your budget, and we can offer you transparent pricing at the end of that meeting. You shouldn’t have your first cleaning bill be a surprise, especially when you’re managing a large facility that likely needs more cleaning than the average office building.

Good Communication from Your Commercial Cleaning Company

One of the trickiest things about managing a large facility can be communicating well with all areas of a building’s operations. You don’t want any more communication-related anxiety on your plate, so you need to find a New Jersey cleaning company that you can easily get a hold of whenever you need to talk to someone about your building maintenance. Not only will this cut down on your stress, it will allow you to better adjust your cleaning schedule when you figure out what works best for your building.

Because Eagle BMJ is a family business that takes pride in what we do, we work hard to make sure that an owner is available to talk to you whenever you have questions or requests. We also utilize software that gives you instant access to your cleaning plan and allows you to make comments and changes whenever you need to.

Don’t let the management of a large facility swamp you. Keeping a large building clean and professional is a great accomplishment, and going to a well-maintained building during the work week can be extremely satisfying for you and everyone else who shares that space. But it’s not something you can do alone – you need a NJ cleaning company you can trust.

Good communication is the foundation of any healthy relationship, whether it’s personal or professional. That’s why at Eagle Building Maintenance and Janitorial, we strive to be great communicators as well as a great New Jersey cleaning company. And we know that communication isn’t just about telling clients what we can do, but listening to clients tell us what services they need. We think that our commitment to communication is what allows us to:

  • Tailor our cleaning services to each client’s and facility’s need
  • Help clients come up with a cleaning plan that works with their schedule and budget
  • Choose the right cleaning products (including environmentally-friendly options) for your facility
  • Respond promptly to special requests and emergencies

We Want to Keep Our Clients—That’s Why We Value Your Input

It’s always a good feeling to get a new client, but it’s an even better feeling to have a client rely on us for years or recommend our services to a friend. We’re constantly working to improve our communication skills because we want our clients to stick with us, and we know we have to listen and respond to their comments and requests if we want that to happen.

If you’re a current client, we’d like to encourage you to let us know both when we’re doing something well and when you’d like us to do something differently. Getting positive feedback is a great self-esteem boost (we’re only human, after all), and getting constructive criticism helps us improve and offer even better services to you and your facility in the future.

If you’re not yet a client but have been thinking about using our NJ cleaning services, we encourage you to set up an initial meeting with us. One of our owners will personally sit down with you and listen to what you want before advising you on a cleaning plan that will work for your facility. You’re under no obligation to hire us after this first meeting, but we hope that our ability to listen and respond well to your unique needs will win you over.

New Jersey - Commercial Cleaning Company

When you’re comparing different companies for your New Jersey commercial cleaning needs, it’s important to look at where the business is based. Is it really a New Jersey-based business? Or is it just a nationally-based chain, or franchise, with a branch in your area?

There are many reasons why you want to look for a commercial cleaning service with a New Jersey address.
  1. We know where to find the right talent. Since we live and work in the New Jersey area, we know how to locate the best people to staff our company, and it shows in the quality of work and customer service we offer.
  2. We provide quick response times. You won’t be routed from some main line to a regional office representative who oversees your area. You’ll be dealing directly with the people who will handle your cleaning account from day one. In fact, one of the owners will come out for your initial consultation. How’s that for personal attention?
  3. We can customize a solution for you. Every business is unique, and that means that they have unique office cleaning needs. Major chains may offer several commercial cleaning packages, but often this means you pay for some things you don’t need or have to work on their schedule. As a local, New Jersey-based commercial cleaning company, we’re more agile and able to adapt to your needs.
  4. We support the local New Jersey economy. By hiring us, you’re spending your money in the area that you want to see grow, just like we do! Unlike national chains which will often be based elsewhere and funnel their profits to that state instead, we pay NJ state taxes.
  5. We care about our reputation in New Jersey. National chains are often more focused on building their brand on a wider scale. For us, it’s New Jersey customers that matter the most. We want your positive word-of-mouth, and we work hard to provide top-of-the-line cleaning services to get it!
  6. We offer greater accountability. With fewer “middlemen,” problems are addressed quickly. You can easily be in contact with the people who are able to take action, resulting in better service for your company. In fact, some national chains won’t even have a local NJ office, which makes it even harder to work with them.
How to Make Sure a Cleaning Company Is New Jersey-Based

Often, cleaning companies will try to pass themselves off as New Jersey-based on their website and in their advertising – even though nothing could be further from the truth! When you’re not clear on where a cleaning service is based or if you’re comparing a national chain to a New Jersey cleaning company, be sure to ask several key questions:

  • How can you get in touch with management if necessary?
  • What’s the chain of command?
  • Is there a local office you can visit?
  • Who can help you customize a solution for your needs?
By taking the time upfront, you’ll ensure that you’re dealing with a New Jersey commercial cleaning company that can handle your needs and deliver great commercial cleaning results.
